This is the third fourth time I’ve edited my bio page since I started my blog. I crack myself up.
I am in my thirties. I live in a small town. I teach art to parenting teen moms. I’m married. I own my house. I have a daughter and another child on the way. I seem basically the same as all the other guys on my street.
But there are aspects of my life that are unique, that are like no one I know. The spirituality and consciousness I bring to my life, my job, my home, my marriage, is constant. I read philosophy, scripture, words of gurus, parables, etc. and I fully intend to do what they all propose I do- in every aspect of my life. I intend to follow them on their path of enlightenment by creating my own path.
I’m going to find the jewel in the lotus, I will drink from the Grail. I will defeat Mara. However you define it– I’m going to achieve it because I already have.
This is why… This is why I’m hot.*
This is my passion. Wish me luck.
P.S. Fil Jr. (below) did my panorama photo of the river near my house!
*As M.I.M.S. (Music Is My Savior) says in his most spiritual of Hip Hop songs, “…I’m hot ‘cuz I’m fly. You ain’t cuz you not. This is why. This is why. This is why I’m hot.” (see my post Why “This is why.”? for an explanation)
you better give me some foto credit!
looking forward to reading your blog!

I just came across your blog tonight and look forward to delving deeper into what you have to say. I can really identify with your conscious sense of self (not to be confused with self consciousness) in the process of blogging, especially about matters of the spirit. When I started my blog back in October I told a lot of people about it right away, so I felt the need to mind my manners and feign a sense of confidence I did not necessarily possess. It is nice to hear someone articulate the whole tension of feeling compelled to write and get ideas out there even when that drive seems antithetical to spiritual development.
Thanks for visiting epiphanygirl. I’m realizing that the point of making public one’s personal spiritual path is to connect with people who are also on a personal path. It’s like the no rules, no requirements, on your own time, church of the 21st century.
